HERE YOU WILL FIND OUT WHO WE ARE AND JUST WHAT IT IS WE DO, WE WILL PUT ALL THE NEW LAW'S ON HERE FOR YOU TO FIND AT EASE, HERE IS A LITTLE bit ABOUT US, I STARTED THIS GROUP BECAUSE WE FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO GET HELP WHEN WE APPLIED FOR PLANNING ON OUR OWN LAND, We found there was not enough advice offered to gypsy and travellers. There is also a big shortage of solicitor's and barristers that can take these cases on. To date one of the best things to happen to our people so far is a group of solicitors at community law partnership. They all work tirelessly to help our communities with planning and as much advice as we need. We here at international try to help offer advice on planning and human right's, and if we cant help, we will put you in touch with the right person. we are also working to change thing's on the unauthorised encampment front, try to get the council's to build transit site's for those who wish to travel, and to get the council to tolerate us rather than give us an eviction notice, and if they dont think it is acceptable for us to be there, work with us rather than get into a conflict. Because they can give us as many section 61-62-77-78 as they like we are not going nowhere. We have a right like any other human being on this earth, and our ancestors chose our community to live this life, and it is our responsibility to maintain our lifestyle for as many years to come as those that have passed!!!! We are very passionate about this as our children and grandchildren need to grow up with out these restrictions that we have. We dont see such restrictions on other ethnic groups why ours???? we also need to see more sites set up for those that choose not to travel anymore, the government have recognised that they need to build 4000 new pitches, we say they may recognise this problem but when will they do it........... hmmm i will let you decide the answer to that one!!!!!!
